If you are seeking or a government ministerial office contacts you to seek your support or involvement in a communication or engagement activity that relates to your FRDC funded project, you need to notify the FRDC General Manager Stakeholder Engagement, Kylie Dunstan, (0438 630 491 or kylie.dunstan@frdc.com.au) as soon as possible.  

What to tell FRDC

Let FRDC know the Minister’s name, portfolio and minister’s advisor name, phone numbers, email addresses and any other relevant details you have regarding their request.  

Example email template to advise/request ministerial involvement in an FRDC-funded project initiative:  

Dear FRDC Communication team,  

I am the Principal Investigator for FRDC-Project [Project Number and name] and have been contacted by / or wish to invite Minister [Minister’s name and portfolio] to be involved in [insert name/type of activity related to FRDC-funded project].  

The Minister's advisor is [advisor’s name and role] and their contact details are [contact details].  

Kind regards,  

[PI Name & title] 

A representative from the FRDC Communication team will then contact you to discuss the activity/request. 

Please note:

As a Statutory Authority of the Australian Government, FRDC has an obligation to ensure the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and relevant Ministers are notified of any activity relating to other Ministers.
